NutiFood partners up with DuPont Group from US

Vietnam’s leading nutrition group NutiFood has signed a partnership with American nutrition group DuPont to continue research on probiotic and litesse for FDI (Foundation of Digestion & Immunity) formula, setting up a solid nutrition foundation for Vietnamese children.

DuPont is an American nutrition and bioscience group present for 200 years in Vietnam. The group has more than 10,000 members, 70 factories internationally, and 30 projects serving research and application in the nutrition sector so far. The group is also one of the top-ranking companies in researching and applying probiotics in the Vietnamese pharmaceutical industry.Additionally, the Vietnamese group NutiFood has cooperated with more than 10 nutrition groups over the world such as DSM, BASF, Fonterra, and Kerry. The group also owns a Sweden-based factory called NutiFood Sweden AB, which is an investment project with the Backahill Group, and Skånemejerier Ekonomisk Förening as a research and development center to improve its dairy formulas.In the near future, the company will bring its successful research into Vietnam, said Mai Thanh Viet, senior marketing director at NutiFood, adding that apart from the achievements from milk powder products for children, the company also aims to get the top rank in nutritious and specialised milk for adults.According to Nielsen’s newest market research report, NutiFood is leading in annual turnover with the proportion of 22 per cent of the market share, leaving behind following businesses in the sector by 1.77 times. NutiFood’s report shows that the group has been ranked among the top three largest dairy enterprises in Vietnam, plus, the top in specialised treatment for four years, and the top in baby milk powder so far.In the opening statement of the science workshop of nutritious foundation for Vietnamese children, Tran Thi Le, CEO of NutiFood, claimed that, “Vietnamese parents always hope that their children can grow high and become intelligent. R&D of NutiFood connects with domestic and international experts, scientists, institutes, and universities to carry out research on formula and develop milk products which are suitably made for Vietnamese children’s physical condition.”She believes that dairy formulas to bolster resistance gives the chance for Vietnamese kids to get proper nutrients to maximise their conversion of inclusive development.
